We’re proud to be delivering a landmark healthcare development in one of the areas that needs it most—Harehills Community Health Centre (HC2).
We’re now well into the build, and the progress on site is hard to miss. The structure is officially watertight, with roof works complete and the last few windows going in. Inside, M&E installations are well underway, and internal partitions have started going up—giving a real sense of how the spaces will come to life. It’s not just drawings anymore—it’s happening.
We’ve also been pleased to welcome recent visits from our directors and funding partners at OakNorth, who came to see progress first-hand at what’s fast becoming a defining project for the area.
When complete, this purpose-built health centre will include a modern GP surgery, retail pharmacy, and space for a variety of community health services—all under one roof and designed with accessibility, dignity, and flexibility at its heart.
Harehills continues to face some of the most significant health challenges in Leeds. Public Health England data shows that life expectancy for men in Harehills is 11.5 years lower than in the city’s least deprived areas, with a gap of 9.4 years for women. That’s not just a statistic—it’s a call to action. And this centre is part of the response.
The building will replace outdated and overstretched facilities, such as those at Milan Street Surgery, and support a more modern, joined-up approach to care—bringing services closer to the people who need them most.
This isn’t just a construction site—it’s the foundation for better healthcare, better outcomes, and a stronger, healthier community. We believe every neighbourhood deserves access to world-class NHS care, and this centre will help ensure Harehills gets exactly that.
