It’s official: every last desk at Whittell’s Workspace—the boutique office development at 9 East Parade & 33 Park Cross Street—is now spoken for, proving once again that when it comes to workspace in Leeds, style and soul matter.
Once a neglected Grade II-listed property, the building has undergone a top-to-bottom glow-up and is now home to a buzzing mix of businesses enjoying both traditional and fully managed office suites (think: 8 to 20 desks, swish furnishings, private meeting rooms, and not a boring ceiling tile in sight). The mix of conventional and all-inclusive leases has clearly hit the sweet spot, with tenants snapping up every last square foot.
Perfectly positioned in the heart of Leeds, just a short stroll from the station and surrounded by bars, cafés, and city bustle, 9 East Parade isn’t just where work gets done—it’s where lunch plans get interesting. And with Six by Nico now slinging tasting menus from the ground floor, we suspect “client lunches” have never been so enthusiastically booked.
“East Parade has always had potential—but with Whittell’s Workspace, it finally has personality,” said absolutely no one on record—but probably everyone who’s walked past recently.
So what’s next?
With Whittell’s now fully let, attention turns to the next chapter. The lower ground floor is now on the market, and yes—someone definitely mentioned a roof terrace. Let’s just say the best might still be to come.
For now, though, we’ll raise a coffee (or a cocktail) to a once-overlooked building that’s found its purpose—and filled every floor doing it.
